The laboratory of Vegetation and Biodiversity is coordinated by Borja Jiménez-Alfaro at the University of Oviedo to investigate the distribution, abundance and regeneration of plants across habitats. The main goal is to understand major drivers regulating natural and semi-natural vegetation as a tool for preserving ecosystems. Lab facilities are located at the Biodiversity Research Institute (IMIB) and the Atlantic Botanic Gardens in Asturias (Spain).
